Radioactive Pig

I had a special request to blog about this cake. I made this pig cake for my niece Tara last May. She had her birthday party in Idaho Falls. I made the cake at home and we flew to Idaho for the party. It was interesting taking the cake through security. I received a lot of strange looks. We joked about this being a radioactive pig from going through the x-ray machines.

I taught a cake decorating class at church last month and made a version of this cake. It was a piggy bank complete with chocolate coins instead of hay. I didn't get a chance to take a picture but I'm sure you can imagine what it looked like.

I am going to my second cake class tonight! I love the pig and hope one day I can be half as good as you at cakes!

Tara says "I love you and I want to mail something to you, a picture about us. It's about our cookies." I don't know where she's going with this. Here she goes again "I love your piggy cake and I ate it. See you soon and I'll give you a kiss." Wow she's all over the place!
Thanks for posting the cake for her.

Hey Tara, I love you to. You have a birthday coming up. I'll make a cake for you next time you go to grandmas. Any ideas?
